1964年東京生れ。1986年武蔵野美術大学 造形学部卒業。1993年渡米、ニューヨークの映像制作プロダクションにて撮影監督・アートディレクションをする。同年NHK ニューヨーク総局にてヒラリー･クリントン専属カメラマンとなる。また、ダライ･ラマ14 世ドキュメンタリーなどを撮影。2001年 帰国後、独立。バルテュスの絵をモチーフにしたシリーズが高く評価され、2010年には、ヨコハマフォトフェスティバルにてベスト･ポートフォリオ賞を受賞。
個展、2009年トーテムポール･フォトギャラリー (東京)、2010年ギャラリー･バウハウス (東京)、2011年MEMギャラリー (東京)、2012年マイケル・ホッペン・ギャラリー (ロンドン)、三影堂撮影芸術中心 (北京)、ローズギャラリー (ロサンゼルス)。
